Eastpak Antidote Tour

AlexIsOnFire play a live rock show at Z7 near Basel

Festivals can be quite the endeavor, including camping in the rain for days, getting all piggyish in the mud in front of the stage, not showering and sleeping on air mattresses (if you brought one - I highly recommend that by the way, should your tent leak you'll awake drifting around on a lake in the morning still cozy and dry instead of waking up *in* the lake in the middle of the night. Don't ask how I found that out ;-) ).

The one solution to escape that is a) sleeping in a hotel room (yeah, very rock 'n' roll...) or b) going to festivals that don't require that you stay overnight. Such a night was last Friday, when the Eastpak Antidote Tour made a stop at the metal church known as Z7.

Only one night, but as with any festival, it required quite some fitness to make it through: Five bands in a row, and with no softie-schmoozie bands in between, no time for a break. The audience seemed well trained: Mosh pits, circle pits, headbanging, screaming along - I guess we all had great fun! Except for the guy who fell asleep with his head on the rail, I don't know if he had fun, but I can assure you he doesn't remember anyway ;-) Was fun to watch with all the havoc around him - sound asleep like a baby. Standing!

Took some photographer fitness too to make it through the night (five bands time three songs plus twice 1.5 hours drive plus editing and putting online = way past my bedtime, but bloody worth it!). The pics are up at 20 Minuten Online here since Saturday.
