If you haven't read Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles", you should at least watch "Interview With The Vampire" (to see how handsome Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt look in old-fashioned clothes. For you guys out there: There are also a couple of pretty girls in corsets in that movie ;-) .

If you have read the books, you might remember how vampires survive eternal life: When times get too tough on them, they bury themselves and wait for better times. Lestat does so, and awakes at the sound of rock music. He rises, and starts his own rock band to call other vampires out from their hiding. Rock music is what it takes to make a vampire want to live life again, to get out and take part in the action.

I think something like that happened in the last few years. Rock music was big in the 80ies. Then some guys in Seattle put some lumberjack shirts on and took over. The vampires decided that times weren't worth to be lived, and went into hiding to wait for better times.

Something woke them up over the last couple of years. I don't know what it was - maybe the lack of good music out there? Whatever it was, they came back to kick some a$$ and show us mortals how to ROCK!

One of these immortal rock gods that came back is Lita Ford. She still looks absolutely awesome - big blond hair, bright smile, and is in rockin' great shape both visually and vocally. Warming up for her upcoming album, she and her band played a couple of festivals in Europe.
